Summer Sausage
One of My Mothers Favorite Recipes!
3 lbs. ground beef (not too lean)
3 Tbsp. liquid smoke
1 tsp. mustard seeds
3 Tbsp. Mortens TenderQuick salt
1 cup water
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
1/2 tsp. onion powder
1/8 tsp. black pepper

 

Mix all ingredients together well. Take 3 sheets aluminum foil (12x13), place dull side up. Form meat into 3 rolls. Roll up in foil and seal the ends. Refrigerate 24 hours. Then punch a hole in one end with a fork and bake at 325 for 1 1/4 hours. Let cool in foil before serving!
