Marilyn's Recipe for Irish Soda Bread
Cake Texture - Not the Standard Soda Bread |

2 cups flour
2-1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 cup sugar
1 stick butter
1/2 tsp. salt
1 egg
1 cup milk
3/4 tsp. vanilla
3/4 cup raisins
|
Cream butter and sugar together. Add vanilla, egg and milk. Mix with all other ingredients. Add raisins.
Pour into greased and floured
loaf pan.
Bake at 350 degrees F. for 45 minutes.
Cover with a tent of foil if browning too much. Enjoy!
