Microwave Caramel Corn
Fun to Make, More Fun to Eat!
1 cup brown sugar
1 stick margarine
1/4 cup light corn syrup
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
4 quarts of popped popcorn
1 large brown paper bag

 

Mix the first four ingredients in a glass bowl. Bring to a boil, then time for 2 minutes at 100% power. Stir in the baking soda. Put the popped popcorn in the large paper bag and pour the caramel sauce over the top. Stir well. Microwave the bag full of popcorn for 1 1/2 minutes. Stir well. Cook 1 1/2 minutes longer and stir well again. Cook for another 1 1/2 minutes and stir well. Pour into a bowl and let cool!
Make sure you stir well after each 1 1/2 minutes to prevent it from burning or scorching!
