Cuddly Peanut Butter Friends

1 cup shortening
1 cup of peanut butter
11/2 cups granulated sugar
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
21/4 all-purpose flour
Decorations if you like

Heat oven to 350F. With electric mixer on medium speed, cream shortening and peanut butter until well mixed.
Add the granulated sugar, brown sugar, and baking soda. Beat until well mixed.
Add eggs and vanilla. Beat on medium speed until well mixed.
Add the flour 1/2 cup at a time.Beat on medium speed and stir in any remaing flour.
To make one bear, make ears, head, body, arms, legs, and nose.
Put cookie sheet in oven and bake for 10 -12 minutes.Cool on cooling rack.Reapeat with remaining dough.
Decorate as you like.
