Crust:
1/2 cup butter
1 cup sugar
2 egg yolks
1 cup flour
1 tsp. baking powder
Filling:
1 cup chopped nuts
1 cup chopped dates
2 egg whites
1 cup brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
|
Cream butter. Add sugar and egg yolks.
Fold in flour and baking powder. Mix well. Spread in greased 9x9 pan.
Mix Dates and Nuts. Spread over dough.
Beat Egg whites until firm. Add brown sugar and vanilla. Spoon over Dates and Nuts.
Bake at 350 degrees F. for 30 minutes.
