Waffle Cookies
Delicious Chocolate Cookie!
1 1/2 cups melted butter
2 1/4 cups sugar
6 eggs
9 Tbls. cocoa
3 cups flour
3 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. almond flavoring (optional)

Frosting:
1/2 cup milk
2 cups sugar
1/2 cup Crisco
1 cup chocolate chips
1 tsp. almond flavoring (optional)

Mix all the cookie ingredients together well.

Bake the dough in a waffle iron. I set the iron on the Waffle setting and use about an 1/8 cup of dough (more or less) to make about the right size cookie. The cookie is done when my waffle iron light goes off and the cookie dough is firm to the touch.

I always have to make a double batch of these as they seem to go so fast! A double batch just barely fits into my large mixing bowl!

Frosting:
Bring sugar, milk, crisco and almond flavoring to a rolling boil, remove from heat. Add chocolate chips and beat until they are melted. Frost.

One batch of frosting can frost a double batch of cookies, but if you like lots of frosting, double the frosting recipe too!

My husband loves to eat them frozen too!
