Halva
Sweet Forina Dessert
1 cup Farina
1/2 cup butter
2/3 cup sugar
2 eggs
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 cup ground almonds

Syrup
1 cup honey
1/2 cup water

 

Cream the butter.

Add sugar gradually creaming well after each addition.

Beat in eggs 1 at a time.

Gradually fold in Farina, almonds and cinnamon.

Bake in a 8 inch square pan at 350 for 35 minutes, then cool for 15 minutes.

Pour syrup over Halva, let cool and cut into squares.

Syrup
Bring the honey and water to a boil and let cool for 10 minutes.
