Grampa's Knephla Soup
mmm-mmm Good!
2 cups Chicken Broth
1 stalk celery, diced
1 cup baby carrots, sliced
1 small onion, diced
2 medium potatoes, Diced
2 Tbls. butter
1 can Cream of Chicken Soup
1 can Cream of Broccoli Cheese Soup
2 cups milk
1/2 tsp Mrs. Dash Seasoning
Garlic salt to taste

Knephla Dough:
1 3/4 Cups flour
1 Egg
1/2 tsp. Mrs. Dash Seasoning
1/2 cup water or milk

 

Combine all vegetables, seasonings and Chicken Broth in large pot, cover with water and boil until tender. Do not drain.

Add soups and milk and stir well, let simmer on low heat.

Add Knephla (see below), add butter and stir well. If thinner soup is desired, add milk in 1/4 cup increments.


Knephla Dough
To make Knephla, mix everything together to make a stiff dough.

Spread on flat surface and cut into 1/2 inch squares.

Drop squares and Mrs. Dash into pot of boiling water and cook for 10 minutes.

Strain and add knephla squares to soup. Some liquid may be used if soup is to thick.
