hi I made crazy cake tonight using the recipe below and it turned out fine bu just tastes a bit funny, i think i may have used the wrong kind of vinegar or something...so my questions are - what kind of vinegar should you use? and are there any other reasons for potential funny tastes? thanks very much miriam 3 cups flour 2 cups sugar 2 tsp. soda 1/3 cup baking cocoa 1 tsp. salt 3/4 cup oil 2 tsp. vinegar 1 tsp. vanilla 2 cups water |

When I use vinegar in my cakes, I just use white vinegar. I'm not sure why your cake tasted strange, though. |
