Post subject:  WHERE ARE YOU FROM?

I notice that a lot of people check out the site but don't answer the questions etc. I would like it if you are reading this, just reply to this topic by marking down where in the world you are located. You can give a first name if you wish but it is not necessary.
It would be interesting to find out who out there is looking in on us. Try it,it won't hurt.

Post subject:  where I`m from

hello everybody:

this is big jim I am located in fresno Ca, in the Big valley where all the
vegetables and fruits are growned. its in the middle of the state.
I have lived here all my life, don`t plan on moving any time soon.
Fresno is like in the middle of everything, 1 1/2 hours from san francisco,
2 hours from LA. 1 hour from the ocean, and about 30-45 minutes from
sequoia national park where all the big red wood trees are. thats it.

Post subject:  Greetings from the panhandle of Idaho

Hello all. My name is Donna, no mystery there eh? I was born and raised in Southern California, moved to North Idaho 10 years ago, spent almsot 5 years in Spokane Washington and am now back in North Idaho.

I live in Page, which is a small gulch in North Idaho's Silver Valley. We are 10 minutes from Kellogg Idaho and Silver Mountain Resort, which has the worlds' longest gondola. My husband is a tattoo artist and chef and is currently cooking at Terrible Edith's Restaurant at the resort.
I've had many jobs but I have to say the best commute I've had was when I worked at the resort cooking "up top" and rode the gondola. Beautiful view, the heights took some getting used to though.

This was a great idea! I hope more people stop by to say hello.

Perhaps your husband could share one of his really good recipes with us.

Post subject:  I'm from the swampy part of North Carolina.

I do the bulk of the cooking in my family and the bulk of the cooking I do is on a grill. I'm strictly amateur though, and learn by eating my own mistakes.
