Hi! I am new to this site, but it sure looks like a great one. My sisters and I have been searching for 2 recipes which my mom used to make that none of us have
The first was called Cottage Pudding, but was not a pudding at all. It was a yellow cake with a sauce. The sauce was a sweet vanilla flavor(similar to a hard sauce) and would separate if it stood very long......which it never did cuz all the kids LOVED it.
The second recipe was called Tamale Surprise. It was basically tamales shaped in balls about the size of large meatballs, then cooked in a big pot of chili.
If anyone knows these you would make some sisters very happy to get the recipes again!
