Post subject:  WHY IS THERE SUCH A LACK OF INTEREST?

I am new to this site but I have noticed that questions or requests go unanswered for the longest of times or are not answered at all. This is supposed to be a fun site where we exchange recipes and comments and try to help each other out whenever possible. All of you who use this site on a regular basis explain to me why this is so. Let me see how many responses I get to this question.

Post subject:  You got at least one...

I'm not here daily but several times a week for sure. I answer a lot of questions but not ALL of them. Nice thing about forums is that they allow participants to interact at their own convenience. That question will still be there tomorrow.

The thing is that sometimes people need an answer right away and not a week or a month later.

Post subject:  Lack of interest

Again it is the fact that months go by and no one answers questions.I know that we do not have all of the answers, and some of us are busy, but not everyone at the same time. Anyway I do my best to answer questions and requests whenever I can and I will continue to do so. Glad you enjoyed the beet bread recipe.

I, for one, am glad for your being here. A bit of attention is a good thing. Maybe you can rescue me sometime too.
We may work in different directions and at different paces but if we get the job done then in the end we get the job done. What more could you ask?

When I was young I loved to watch my mother cook and I got a lot of fantastic first hand tips in the art of cooking. Since that time I was hooked.

LOL... NOT me. My mom routinely butchered things like chocolate duck. She was ambitious in the kitchen but not someone to emulate. The one exception was beef stroganoff. THAT was to die for.

Well let me tell you about beef stroganoff. If you want to try an unbelievable
recipe just ask and I will be more tha glad to post it. Or since you really like your version why don't you post it for all of us? Come on,be a sport. Post it !!!!

I try to get here when I can, but sometimes life just takes over...I guess the more members the better the chances someone will be popping in and will be able to help. D ont give up though, it's a great forum and I'm sure many have gotten help already!

I am not giving up but as I have stated before when someone posts a question I don't think that they want to wait a few months before they get a response. I am usually on the site a couple of times per week and if I can answer a question or help out with something I'm usually right there. This is the last I will mention it and I will just continue to do my thing. But again I mention the purpose of the site is to meet others and exchange recipes, help each other and just chat about things.

Hi. I just joined today and hope to contribute as well as benefit. I could use a little advice regarding navigation of these usergroups, etc. This will be my first foray into an "internet community", so I'll take any useful advice you may wish to share.
