This is great for long term storage of meats got on special or bulk things prepared for future use. I'm getting a lot of good use out of it. One special note: if you take things like pork chops and put them in the bag with a favored sauce, the vacuum packing serves as a super marinade aid and it comes out specially good. Most of the systems I've looked at have a 9"x9" or similar container which can be vacuumed to promote the marinade process. Marinade times can be cut from 3~4 hrs to 20 mins with this system because the vacuum makes the meat cells expand and become more susceptible to infusion by the sauce. Mmmmmmmm........ |

Got one myself a while ago and you are correct my friend they are absolutely great. Use it and avoid freezer burn all the time. |

I even use it for things I'm sharing with friends and family like cole slaw or whatever. It lasts longer for them so they don't have to use it 'right now' and is easier than trying to get the container back. |

Great idea. I have lost more containers than I care to count. |
