First of all I will give you a recipe for chocolate cheesecake.

8½ ounces chocolate wafer crumbs
1/3 cup melted butter
2 tbsp white sugar
¼ tsp ground nutmeg
3 large eggs
1 cup white sugar
3 pkgs (8oz each) cream cheese softened
2 cups semi sweet chocolate chips
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/8 tsp salt
1 cup sour creme
1 cup whipping cream,whipped
2 tbsp powdered sugar

1) In a food processor or blender grind chocolate wafer crumbs until fine.
2) Combine with melted butter,2 tbsp of sugar and nutmeg. Mix well.
3) Press evenly over the bottom and up the sides of a 9 inch springform pan. Put into the
fridge and chill.
4) In a mixer bowl, combine the eggs and 1 cup of sugar. Beat at high speed until very
thick and light. Add softened cream cheese and beat until smooth.
5) Melt the chocolate chips in the top of a double boiler over hot water. Cool. Blend into
cream cheese mixture along with the vanilla, salt and sour creme.
6) Remove pan from fridge and pour mixture into it. Bake at 325 degrees F for one hour
or just until firm. Cool in the pan on a wire rack.
7) Chill for about 1 hour then remove from pan.
8) Whip the cream with the powdered sugar until stiff and spread over cheesecake.
ENJOY!

It is exactly what you think it is,shaped pieces of chocolate that come in a bag and can be found at any supermarket. You will usually find them in the baking section.

Very true ,but it is so convenient when all you have to do is open the bag and all of those lovely chocolate chips fall out ready to be used.

I was not sure if it was a regular chocolate. Because I haven't seen chhocolate chips in a Polish supermarket.
