Has anyone out there ever had this problem while making bagels? My recipe says to boil the bagels for 5 minutes before baking them. When I do this, they turn into bagel prunes after I take them out of the water!
I used to use another recipe that called for broiling the bagels for a few minutes, then boiling and then baking, and the same thing happened then! I am very frustrated. Thanks for anyone's help!
