IT HAS COME TO MY ATTENTION WHEN I LOOK AT MOST PROFILES THE MAJORITY OF YOU DON'T EVEN MARK DOWN WHERE YOU ARE LOCATED OR WHAT PROVINCE OR STATE OR COUNTRY YOU ARE FROM. GO BACK INTO YOUR PROFILE AND UPDATE IT. WE MAY BE NEIGHBORS OR LIVE RIGHT IN THE SAME CITY AND NOT EVEN KNOW IT. SO COME ON AND UPDATE YOUR PROFILE.

97 PEOPLE TOOK THE TIME TO LOOK AT THIS POST BUT ONLY ONE PERSON (THAT WOULD BE YOU ETHNIC) TOOK THE TIME TO LIST WHERE THEY ARE FROM. I AM NOT ASKING FOR YOUR HOME ADDRESS OR SOCIAL INSURANCE NUMBER JUST THE CITY,STATE,PROVINCE OR EVEN COUNTRY THAT YOU ARE FROM SO THAT WE CAN COMMUNICATE BETTER. IF YOU JOIN A SITE THE LEAST YOU CAN DO IS PARTICIPATE.

 Well, I have stated I live in South Australia. Lovely here now in early autumn. Been off the air for a while, passing exams and visiting grandchildren etc. We are now planning a round-the world trip from May to end July, mostly in London with family, also island of Jersey, Normandy, Berlin, Helsinki, New York, San Francisco, Waikiki (revisiting an old haunt) and home.Fingers crossed all goes well.

That sounds like a great trip! Many of the same places I would like to visit. Have you been to New York before?

:D No, which is why we want to go. We haven't been to S/F either. We are looking forward to talking to people. We have always found North Americans very friendly to visitors.

 We really wish we had the time (and the money) to spend weeks in North America. However, it is nice to get such good wishes. Thanks.
We have a totally vegan grandson in London, so I am brushing up on my tofu and TVP recipes. Do you have it? It is Textured Vegetable Protein and used instead of meat. Not that we are vegans by any means but it is good to be able to turn a hand to any kind of cooking. His mother tells me he practically lives on cans of chilli beans. I hope to be able to make his meals a bit more interesting.

I THINK WHAT YOU ARE REFERING TO IS WHAT WE CALL TOFU. PICKS UP THE FLAVOR OF ANYTHING YOU COOK IT WITH. BY THE WAY,WHY ARE YOU NOT STOPPING OFF IN MONTREAL? YOU KNOW,THE PARIS OF THE NORTH. I KNOW,I KNOW,BUT IT REALLY IS TOO BAD THAT YOU CAN'T VISIT FOR A SHORT TIME. YOU COULD PRACTICE YOUR FRENCH A BIT,ENJOY FANTASTIC FOOD,AND VISIT ONE OF THE MOST BEAUTIFUL CITIES IN NORTH AMERICA. PERHAPS ONE DAY.

:) Sorry about missing the Paris of the North. Another of my favourite 'Paris type' cities is Madrid. If I spoke better Spanish I could easily live there. The Madrilenos don't go to bed until 3am! How do they get any work done! But they do.
Tofu is made from soy but I don't know what TVP is made from. I suspect it is also soy. It is reddish brown in colour and bought in chunks or 'mince' style and is supposed to fool people into thinking it is meat. It is used in things like lasagne.I have eaten it a few times at vegetarian get-togethers. I bet that it is sold under a more glamorous name than 'Textured Vegetable Protein' in America.
