We recently attended the Loch Norman Scottish festival and I had scones for the first time from a Scottish baker working the food court. They were scrumptious! (butterscotch/pecan) They were rather like overgrown biscuits. All of the scones and recipes I've seen since were made like cornbread pies and served sliced. They don't seem quite so appealing that way so I was happy to find Authentic Scottish Scones here. I like to make the basic recipe at least once then recipe it as called for from there.
