Some time ago I made a cheesecake crust that had honey and walnuts as the main ingredients. It was heavenly. I do not remember where I got the recipe and have not been able to find it in any of my cookbooks or recipe boxes, how ever much I have searched. Does anyone know of such a recipe or have something similar, as I would like to use it again. Thank you.

Annette

Here is one that I think you will like.

1 1/4 cups flour
1/2 cup ground walnuts
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1/3 cup honey
1/3 cup melted butter

Combine the flour, walnuts and cinnamon. Mix well.
Add the honey and butter and mix well.
Press into the bottom and sides of an 8 inch springform pan.

There you go,easy as pie (or cheesecake)
Enjoy.

Thank you! I haven't had time to try this yet, too much summer BBQ! :D Speaking of which, a little something I came up with a few years back for left over BBQ to share with everyone...a quick lunch or dinner....

You will need: (these are just the ingredients I prefer)

left over bbq meat of your choice - sliced
bagels
onions
mushrooms
cheese
spicy/sweet mustard

slice mushrooms and onions and saute until they just start to get tender. toss in meat and continue to saute until it is just heated. spread mustard on one half of the bagel. arrange sliced meat, omions and mushrooms on bagel half. top with cheese slices (havarti is my favorite for this) place in oven on a low broil until cheese just starts to melt and add the other half of the bagels to toast. When cheese melts place toasted bagel halves on top. Sometimes I toss on a slice or two of fresh tomato too. Goes great with salad.

OR.....

left over teriaki bbq
left over grilled veggies - sliced
stadium or hoagy rolls
cream cheese
honey mustard
pineapple - sliced or diced...
fresh tomatoes

spread cream cheese on bottom 1/2 of rolls, top with thin slices of pineapple, grilled veggies and meat, spread mustard on top half of roll if desired. toast in oven.
