How about everyone chime in about kewl kitchen toys you got for Christmas?

To get the ball rolling: I got a King Kooker 'Hot Tub' which is a way cool setup for frying turkeys and steaming seafood, etc. You can see it here as well as lots of other sites. This is going to be so great when it comes to doing crab cakes and hushpuppies this spring. Already did a turkey and the good news is that it will handle a 12 lb turkey with only about 5 gallons of oil compared to my old fryer which took almost 9 gallons for a turkey of any size.

Hope you all have some joyful cooking time this year and come to Netcooks to share.

Well I got myself a set of those miracle blades (knife set) that we always see on T.V. I traded in some credit card points to get the set,and let me tell you...........these suckers are sharp. Excellent set of knives and they really do cut very well. Carved my Xmas turkey with the slicing knife and it was outstanding. I also received a set of sea salts from around the world. Much better than the boxed stuff we always buy.

This year - nothing. The S.O. ran out of money before he got that far, but the intentions were there.

I did get a $100 gift cert for the farm and garden store. We're growing a huge garden of fresh vegetables this year! :D

Funny how that works.... Maybe you should post your cooking 'want list' here and leave the url laying around for 'Santa' to find.

My niece gave me an electric pepper mill. It takes 6 batteries, but all you have to do is turn it over, and it grinds pepper for you! My 2-year-old is really taking a liking to pepper because of it! :D

OK, so now I am envious. LOL But I made out like a bandit this past Christmas. I got my first food processor, I'm in love! Tacos take half the time they used to. I got a wonderful granton edged knife, a nice deep stainless steel skillet with glass lid and some various smaller items I've been needing to replace.

Isn't it nice to have a well equipped kitchen? I have a ways to go, but at least I am on my way.

I'm getting a new toy tomorrow... a White Mountain 4 qt ice cream freezer. Since the grandchildren don't visit that much anymore I ordered the electric variety. Grampa is getting kinda wheezy... LOL.

Tonight I'm lurking about finding recipes to get the ball rolling. Stand by for some to be posted in the desert category.
