is anyone familiar with a recipe using oreos, cool whip and mint(extract)? My grandma made this when I was little and it was yummy! :D it was in a large lasagna type dish and could be sliced-served frozen like ice cream. any ideas???

I think I found what you are looking for. Here it is.

OREO COOKIE CAKE

1 bag oreo cookies
1/4 lb melted margarine
1 pkg cream cheese - 8oz - softened
1 cup confectioners sugar
1 12oz container of cool whip
1 tsp mint extract
1 pkg instant chocolate pudding - 6oz
2 1/2 cups milk

Crush cookies in a food processor and set 1/4 cup aside
Mix remaining crushed cookies with the melted margarine
Press into bottom of a 9 in X 13 in pan
Blend cream cheese and conf. sugar with a mixer at medium speed until smooth
Mix mint extract into the cool whip
Fold in 1/2 of the cool whip with the cheese and spread over cookie layer
Refrigerate for 1/2 hour
Combine milk and pudding and mix until smooth
Pour over chilled mixture in pan
Refrigerate for 1 hour
Spread remainder of the cool whip on top of the pudding and sprinkle with remaining crumbs
Put into freezer for about two hours
