Pakoras Spicy Vegetable Fritters! |

1 cup chick pea flour 1/4 tsp. cumin powder 1/4 tsp. red chili powder pinch of turmeric 1/4 tsp. ginger paste 1/4 tsp. garlic paste 2 pinches soda bicarb salt, to taste 1 onion, thinly sliced 2 Tbls. shredded cabbage few leaves of shredded spinach 2 Tbls. potato, grated (more veggies of your choice can be added) oil, for frying

Mix all the ingredients well, except the oil.
Heat the oil in a frying pan and drop spoonfuls of the pakora batter into the oil.
Deep fry until brown and done.
Drain well and serve with tomato ketchup or chutney.
FOR CHUTNEY: Saute the following in a spoon of oil and grind well. 1 chopped onion 1 chopped tomato a small piece of ginger a few sprigs of mint and coriander leaves 1 green chilli 1 Tbls. grated coconut 1 Tbls. tamarind paste salt
