Yakionigiri
a version of the japanese onigiri rice ball.
HOW TO MAKE YAKIONGIRI!!

What ya needz:
Sushi rice (amount depends on how much you want)
Water
2tbsp. Soy sauce
½ Tbsp. Sugar
a leetle bit of salt
Toasted Nori

Cook rice according to instructions on package. While rice is cooling, put soy sauce and sugar in a bowl. If desired, add ½ tsp. of Sake or Mirin. Mix well, dissolving sugar well. When rice is cool enough to handle, wet your hands and put some salt on them. Then wet your hands with soy sauce. Take a handful of rice and form it into a triangular or cylndrical shape. When rice is firmly packed into the shape, grease your frying pan well, as the rice STICKS. Put it on medium-low heat, and put onigiri in pan. While in pan, put more soy sauce on the onigiri. Be sure to cover both sides. When the sides are brown, take out of pan. Splash briefly with water, to cool down. Wrap with strip of nori. Onigiri or Yakionigiri are great for putting in Bento Boxes (japanese little lunch boxes). ENJOY!!
