Old Fashioned Swiss Steak

2 1/2 pounds round steak ( I use 10- 6-8 oz pieces of steak that I have my butcher cut for me) 1 1/2 cups flour salt / pepper to taste 1/2 cup vegetable oil 2 Large cans (family size) cream of mushroom soup
1 large can Beef Broth (48 oz) 1 cup water 2 Tablespoons Accent

Cut steak into desired size pieces
Dredge steak into flour being sure to entirely cover meat adding salt and peeper to flour mixture if you desire
Heat oil in skillet over medium high heat
Place steak in skillet and allow to brown on both sides . Once browned place meat into gravy mixture saving pan drippings.
After you have completed frying meat and have added it to your gravy mixture add 2 cups of water to pan drippings and allow to come to a boil constantly stirring. Once thickened pour over top of meat.
Cover and Bake @ 450 degrees for the first hour then turn oven back to 350 degrees for remaining 3 hours.
Be sure to stir every hour. You can add 1 Large Can of Sliced Mushrooms, drained into gravy mixture if desired.
Gravy :
In a Large Bowl,Mix Cream of Mushroom soup and Beef broth until well blended. Add Water and mix well. Add Accent , mix well ** You can add 1 Large Can of Sliced Mushrooms, drained into gravy mixture if desired.
Pour into a deep roasting pan
This dish will be very tender and flavorful.
