Roast Beef
Sunday Roast
1/2kg Lean Roast Beef
1 bottle of red wine (I use Australian Siraz)
2 Tbls. Soy Sauce
Ground pepper to taste
2 cloves garlic
2 Tbls. Good quality olive oil
1cm of butter

Combine 1/2 cup Red wine, soy ground pepper, garlic and olive oil and mix well.

Place beef in mixture for at least 2 hours, I usually make this the previous day and marinade overnight. Remember to turn the beef in the marinade a couple of times.

The rest of the Red wine should be enjoyed during the cooking process.

Place the beef in a baking dish and pour over the marinde. Place in a preheated oven and depending on your taste cook beef for:
Rare 230 degrees C. 40 minutes
Med: 200 degrees C. 2 hours
well: 200 degrees C. 3 1/2 hours

NOTE: This time will be dependant on your oven. Fan forced will cook quicker than conventional. Take 20 degrees off for fanforced as a rule.
