Yorkshire Pudding To Be Served with Roast beef! |

2oz. plain flour Large pinch of salt 1 standard size egg 1/4 pint milk 1/2 Tbls. melted butter 1 oz. vegetable oil or meat dripping

Sift flour and salt into bowl.
Beat to smooth creamy batter with unbeaten egg, half the milk and melted butter.
Stir in remaining milk.
Heat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C/Gas No.6).
Put vegetable oil into 9 x 7 inch oven proof dish or baking tin.
Heat until oil is hot, until faint haze appears.
Pour in batter mix.
Bake in center of oven for 20 - 25 minutes (until batter has risen).
