Agua de Melon Melon Fresca |

1 1/2 cups diced, ripe cantaloupe, seeds and rind removed 1 quart water 1/4 cup sugar, or to taste
|
Put the diced melon in the blender with enough of the water to cover. Blend just long enough to make a course pulp. Transfer to a pitcher and add the rest of the water and the sugar. Stir to dissolve the sugar. The resulting drink will contain small bits of fruit pulp. It can be strained, but nutrients, fiber, and the character of the drink will be lost!
