Dublin Coffee James Joyce An Irish Dinner Coffee |

10 oz. hot espresso 1/4 cup whiskey 2 tsp. demerara or brown sugar 1/4 cup heavy cream
|
Warm two wine glasses. Add the whiskey to the glasses and stir in the sugar. Pour in coffee to dissolve the sugar and stir. The coffee should still be moving when you pour in the cream, holding the back of a spoon at the edge so that the cream does not stir in but instead floats to the top. This cream layer is what you want in this coffee!
