Pumpkin Drinks
Drinks
3lbs pumpkin
1 bottle stout, or rum cream to taste
1 tsp vanilla flavoring
1/8 tsp nutmeg
Sugar to taste
1 tin evaporated milk
(1 tin condensed milk can be substituted, in which case, omit the sugar)

Directions: Wash, peel, and cut pumpkin in small pieces.
Boil for approx 8-10 minutes in enough water to cover pieces.

Add salt to water according to taste.

When cooked, but still firm, set aside pumpkin along with the liquid to cool. (Make allowance for cooling time.)

When cooled, blend and pour into a large pot, or 1-gallon container, adding water as needed. (The amount of water used will depend on the desired consistency needed.)

Add milk, sugar (if used,) vanilla, nutmeg, and stout, or rum cream.

Mix all ingredients together and chill, or serve over ice.

To save time, pumpkin can be cooked in advance and refrigerated.
