Annas Fast Scones
The Easiest Scone Recipe Ever!
4 cups self-raising flour
Pinch salt
1 1/2 cups lemonade (can use low-joule)
1 cup cream

Set oven to moderately hot.

Sift flour and salt into bowl.
Add lemonade and cream altogether.
Mix with the blade of a knife until combined into a SOFT dough.
Turn onto floured surface and use floured hands to bring dough together into a ball and pat out to 3 cms thick.

Use a scone cutter (or a drinking glass with edge dipped in flour) to cut out scones. Be careful not to twist when cutting or the scones will rise on a slant.
Place on baking sheet.
Brush with milk, if wished.

Bake for 10-13 minutes, depending on size, until well-risen and golden.

This is a never-fail recipe if you use only a knife to mix and DO NOT KNEAD the dough.
