Applesauce and Raisin Bread Just Good Eating! |
|
|
2 1/2 cups Bisquick Baking Mix 1/3 cup sugar 1/4 cup margarine, softened 2 medium eggs 1 cup applesauce 1 tsp. ground cinnamon 1/2 tsp. nutmeg 1/4 tsp. cloves 1 cup Raisins
|
Heat oven to 350 degrees F.
Grease a 9x5x3 inch loaf pan.
Beat all ingredients except the raisins in a large bowl on low speed, keeping the bowl sides scraped down. Increase to medium speed, scraping bowl sides, for two minutes.
Fold in raisins. Pour batter into pan, using back of spoon to level.
Place in center of oven for about 35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
Remove to a cooling rack. Cool completely before turning out of pan.
Slice and Serve! Note: You can double this recipe if you want, as the loaf, uncut, freezes well. Cover tightly with foil or place in a freezer bag. Remove at least 30 minutes before slicing and warming.
Enjoy!
