Kuchen German Delight! |

Dough Ingredients- 4 cups flour 1/2 cup shortening 1 pkg. yeast 1 cup warm milk 1 tsp. salt 1/2 cup sugar 1/2 cup beaten eggs
Kuchen Filling- 4 eggs 1 Tbls. flour 1 cup sugar 2 cups sweet or sour cream 1 tsp. vanilla dash of salt

For the dough- Mix flour, salt, shortening and sugar as for pie crust.
Dissolve yeast in 1/2 cup warm water. Add yeast, eggs, and warm milk to mixture. Mix and let rise overnight. This will make enough dough for 5 or 6 kuchens.
Filling- Beat the ingredients well. Rollout dough about 1/4 inch thick like pie crusts into pie tins. Spread dough with thin layer of apple or peach slices or cooked prunes.
Pour filling on fruit and sprinkle with cinnamon. Bake at 350 degrees F. until crust is golden brown and filling is thick.
