Low-Fat Banana Bread Low-Fat Recipe! |
1/2 cup sugar 1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce 1/2 cup egg substitute (equals 2 eggs if you prefer) 1/4 cup skim milk 1 cup mashed banana (very ripe) 3/4 cup flour 3/4 cup whole wheat flour 1/2 cup oat bran 2 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon 1/4 tsp. nutmeg 1/4 tsp. baking soda
This bread cooks more uniformly in an 8x8 pan due to the healthy ingredients.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray pan with non-stick cooking spray. In a large bowl, combine sugar, applesauce, egg substitute, milk, and banana. In a separate bowl, mix remaining ingredients. Add dry ingredients to the banana mixture. Stir until flour is moistened. Pour into pan and bake for 50-55 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. A delicious low fat recipe!
