Orange Honey Walnut Bread
One of My Favorite Bread Recipes!
1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
1/2 cup sugar
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
2 large eggs, beaten
1/4 cup margarine (65 percent) or butter, melted
1/2 cup orange juice
2 Tbls. grated orange peel
2 Tbls. honey
2 Tbls. water
1 cup walnuts, chopped

In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt; set aside.

In a smaller bowl, combine eggs, margarine or butter, orange juice, orange peel, honey and water.

Stir liquid mixture into flour mixture, just until blended. Stir in Walnuts.

Spoon into a greased and floured 8 1/2x2 1/2 loaf pan.

Bake on center rack or preheated oven at 350 degrees F. for 50 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Let cool in pan for 10 minutes.

Remove from pan and cool further on a wire rack.

This is great while warm, plain or with butter or your favorite jelly or jam, lightly spread!

This can be frozen up to 6 weeks if sealed in an approved freezer bag or food-saver bag!

Enjoy!
