Rocky Mountain Cinnamon Rolls Quick and easy! |

1 yellow cake mix 5 cups flour 2 pkgs. yeast 2 1/2 cups warm water
|
Combine all the dry ingredients, including the yeast, in a large bowl. Stir in the warm water. Be sure it is not too hot so as to kill the yeast. Mix thoroughly. Cover and allow to raise for about an hour, or until doubled in size.
To Prepare rolls: On a generously floured surface, place the dough, and begin to roll out until it is about a quarter inch thick. Pour enough melted butter or margarine, to cover entire dough surface. Sprinkle sugar and cinnamon, and add any nuts or raisins to taste. Beginning with the longest edge of the dough, begin to roll it into a long cylinder. Once this is completed, slice into rolls approximately 3/4 wide. Place these on a greased cookie sheet and allow to rise for about 45 minutes. Bake at 375F for 12-15 minutes, or until done.
When they are removed from the oven, glaze lightly with a simple icing.
