Southern Cracklin' Cornbread Makes Great Stuffing! |

1 egg, beaten 2 cups Martha White Cornbread Mix 1 3/4 cups buttermilk 1/3 cup cooking oil or bacon drippings 1 cup bacon rinds, crushed
|
Beat egg, add the rest of the ingredients. Mix well.
Pour into a preheated 10-inch cast iron skillet.
Cook in a preheatet oven at 450 degrees F. for about 20-25 minutes or until golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Note: This is a great ingredient for making cornbread stuffing for chicken or turkey.
