Apricot Glaze Apple Torte A Treat That's Very Impressive to Serve! |

1 pkg. white cake mix 1 pkg. vanilla instant pudding mix 4 eggs 1/2 cup sour cream 1/4 cup vegetable oil 3 large apples, peeled and cored 1 Tbls. granulated sugar 1 tsp. ground cinnamon 1/3 cup strained apricot jam

CAKE: In a large mixer bowl, combine cake mix, pudding mix, eggs, sour cream and oil. Beat on medium speed for 2 minutes or until smooth. Spread evenly in prepared 11-inch springform pan, greased.
TOPPING: Slice peeled and cored apples into eights. Press apple slices round-side up into batter in a circular pattern. Mix sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle evely over apples. Bake 60 to 70 minutes. Remove pan to a wire rack and cool slightly.
Warm jam if necessary to soften a spreading consistency. Brush over top of apples and cake. Serve warm or cool.
