Chocolate Peanut Butter Cake The Perfect Combination |

75 gms dark chocolate 110 gms unsalted butter, soft 110 gms peanut butter, either smooth or crunchy 1 cup light brown sugar 2 large eggs, lightly beaten 1 cup plain flour 1 tsp. baking powder pinch salt 1/4 cup milk

Grease a loaf tin and line base. Set oven to 180 degrees C.
Melt chocolate in a bowl over hot water.
Beat the butter, peanut butter and brown sugar until pale and creamy. Add the eggs, a little at a time.
Sift flour, baking powder and salt and add half to the egg mixture. Mix well.
Add remaining flour alternately with milk until JUST combined.
Pour HALF of this mixture into the melted chocolate and mix lightly.
Drop alternate large spoonfuls of each mixture into the loaf tin. Smooth top with a knife and draw knife through the cake batter to marble.
Bake for about 45 minutes or until a skewer comes out clean.
Leave to cool for about ten minutes before turning out onto a wire rack.
Dust with icing sugar or drizzle with a glaze of 100 gms melted chocolate, 25gms butter and a Tablespoon of golden syrup warmed over a low heat.
