3 cups sugar 3/4 cup corn syrup 3/4 cup water 2 egg whites 1 pkg. jello (any flavor) 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Boil sugar, syrup, and water just to a soft ball stage.
Beat egg whites with jello until very stiff and dry.
Beat in 1/3 of the syrup mixture into the jello mixture. Continue to boil the remainder 2/3 syrup until it forms a hard ball in cold water.
Then pour into the rest of the mixture and keep beating steady while adding the nuts. Beating may take quite awhile until they shape up nicely. Drop by spoonful onto waxed paper.
