Cabbage Casserole

1 medium head cabbage 1 cup minute rice 1 tsp. salt 2 Tbls. sugar 1 stick butter 2 cups water bread crumbs
Cream sauce: 2 Tbls. butter 2 Tbls. flour 1 cup milk 1/2 lb. Velveeta cheese
|
Boil water, salt, sugar, and butter. Add cabbage. Cook until tender, about 20 minutes. Add rice on top of cabbage and cook till tender. Place all of the above in a 9x13 baking dish and cover with cream sauce. Bake 30-40 minutes till lightly brown. Add buttered bread crumbs the last 15 minutes. Bake in oven at 400 for 10 minutes and 300 last 30 minutes.
