Cabbage Rolls

2 lbs. ground lamb 1 lb. ground beef (or lean hamburger meat) 2 large onions - finely chopped salt and pepper to taste garlic powder or garlic clove (as desired) 1 cup uncooked rice

Place 2 - 3 heads of cabbage to soften in boiling water for 10 - 15 minutes. Remove leaves and place 1 - 1 1/2 tbsp. meat mixture in each and roll up loosely. Place cabbage rolls in roaster or heavy pot. Mix together 1 large can tomatoes (28 oz.) and 1 can tomato paste or 1/2 - 1 can (10 oz.) tomato soup. Pour this over cabbage rolls. Bake in slow oven 200*F, 2 - 3 hours, or on top of stove on low heat 2 - 3 hours.
