Lois G's Noodle Caboodle
Yummy Family Favorite
1 lb. bag egg noodles
6 oz. can tuna fish packed in water
6 oz. chopped ham
6 oz. chopped turkey
4 chopped hard boiled eggs
6 cups ginger ale
2 cups potato chip crumbs
1 handful plain M&M candies
2 tbs. Kosher salt
1 tsp. black pepper
2 tsp. garlic powder

Boil egg noodles according to package directions and drain. In a large mixing bowl, combine tuna, ham, turkey and eggs, mixing thoroughly.

Add salt, pepper and garlic powder. Slowly add ginger ale while gently tossing ingredients. Add one half of potato chip crumbs, mix well and let sit uncovered for 10 minutes.

This is important! Sitting will let most of the carbon dioxide gas from the ginger ale to escape, avoiding a huge mess while baking.

Fold noodles into mixture, combine well and pour into a large casserole dish. Top with remaining potato chip crumbs and place one M&M candy every few inches, pressing slightly into the crumbs. The idea is to make a pretty colored patchwork quilt so don't overdo the M&M's!

Cover with foil, poking a few holes in the top to allow steam and any remaining gas from the ginger ale to escape.

Bake at 325 for 30 minutes, then carefully remove the foil and bake an additional 20 minutes, allowing your crazy quilt crust on top to brown nicely, stained by the wild colors of the melted candies.

Cool for 5 minutes and serve. My husband likes grated Parmesan cheese and a sprinkle of crushed red pepper but my kids just like it plain out of the oven.
