Simple Beef Stroganoff

1 small package of wide egg noodles 1 lb extra lean ground beef 1/4 cup butter or margarine 1 med. onion (diced) 1 can cream mushroom soup 1 can mushrooms (or fresh/sliced) 1 cup sour cream salt/pepper to taste

Cook noodles according to package directions. Drain and set aside. Fry mushrooms & onion in butter. Set aside. Fry hamburger, crumbling well as cooking and then add mushrooms and onions toward end. Add can of soup to mixture and heat until bubbly, stirring often. Remove from heat and add sour cream. Reheat on low. Serve over hot noodles.
