Chocolate Caramel Brownies

1 Pkg. German Chocolate Cake Mix 2/3 cup evaporated milk 3/4 cup margarine 1 cup chocolate chips 1 bag unwrapped caramels (about 25)

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Combine caramels and 1/3 cup evaporated milk in saucepan and melt.
Mix cake mix with the remaining 1/3 milk and margarine and press half into the bottom of a 9x13 greased pan.
Bake for 6 minutes at 350 degrees F.
Pour the melted caramels over the partially cooked cake mix and spread the chocolate chips around.
Top with blobs of the remaining cake mix.
Bake 18 minutes longer.
