Apple Crisp - Old Country Style Authentic Apple Country Recipe |

8 average-size Granny Smith apples, cored, peeled and sliced thin, approximately 1/4 inch. 1 Tbls. lemon juice 1/2 cup white sugar 1/4 cup dark brown sugar, packed 1 tsp. cinnamon, if using rolled oats only. 1/4 tsp. nutmeg 3 Tbls. flour
Topping: 3/4 cup rolled or quick oats OR 3/4 cup crushed cinnamon graham crackers 3/4 cup flour 1/4 cup white sugar 1/4 cup dark brown sugar, packed 1/3 cup margarine, softened

Place sliced apples in 9x13 pan or casserole dish. Drizzle lemon juice over apple slices.
Combine remaining ingredients for filling and lightly toss with apples until thoroughly coated. Arrange slices over bottom of pan or dish.
Combine topping ingredients and sprinkle over apples to cover.
Bake in Preheated 350 degree F. oven for approximately 45 minutes or until center is bubbly.
Serve warm with scoop of vanilla ice cream, if desired.
