Apple Dumplings Delicious! |

Pastry- 1/2 cup butter 1 cup flour 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder Milk 3 large apples
Syrup- 2 cups water 1 cup sugar 1/2 cup butter

Cut butter into flour and baking powder; add milk and mix as you would for a pie crust. Roll out pastry.
Peel and halve apples. Wrap each half in rolled out pastry. Place in a deep baking dish.
Combine syrup ingredients and bring to a good boil. Pour the syrup over the apples in the baking dish.
Bake at 350 degrees F. for 45 minutes or until apples are tender. Serve with cream.
