2 Cups Crisco Shortening (May use 1 cup shortening + 1 cup butter) 8 Cups Confectioners Sugar 1/2 Teaspoon Salt 2 Teaspoon Clear Imitation Vanilla 6oz. Heavy Whipping Cream
|
Directions: Using a mixer, cream shortening on low speed until well blended and creamy.
Add confectioners sugar, and continue creaming on low speed until completely blended (this step usually takes approximately 5-7 minuets.
Once shortening and confectioners sugar are well creamed together, add salt, vanilla, and whipping cream then continue to blend on low speed, add additional whipping cream if needed. Beat on high speed until fluffy.
Refrigerate or freeze unused frosting. Once icing is used, refrigerate.
