Bread and Butter Pudding Delightful Hot or Cold, Easy to Make! |

10 pieces of bread, crusts removed butter 2 eggs 2 Tbls. sugar 2 cups milk cinnamon
|
Preheat oven to 180 degrees C (350 degrees F).
Butter the bread, and cut into fingers. Arrange bread fingers buttered side down in layers in an ovenproof dish.
Beat eggs, sugar and salt together.
Blend in milk and stir until sugar has dissolved.
Pour this mixture over the bread.
Sprinkle cinnamon on top.
Stand in a baking dish of hot water, and place in oven.
Bake in moderate oven for 40 minutes.
Custard is set when top is golden brown.
May be served hot or cold with cream.
OPTIONAL- If desired, 1/4 cup of sultanas can be sprinkled between the bread layers.
Also, jam may be spread on the bread as well as the butter.
