Champagne Escalloped Apples A Sweet and Versatile Dessert! |

10 Granny Smith apples 1 bottle asti champagne 1/2 cup unsalted butter 3 tsp. granulated sugar 3 tsp. cinnamon
|
Peel, core and slice apples into half inch wedges.
Melt butter in saucepan. Add cinnamon and sugar. Toss apples slices into mix. Turn heat to low and allow steam to cook apples to soft but al dente firmness. Remove from pan and strain out excess liquid.
In a separate bowl, pour champagne and add apples. Cover and allow to sit for an hour.
Serve with vanilla ice cream or sorbet of choice.
