Marbled Shokola marbled chocolate dessert |
|
|
115g Fairtrade white chocolate 110g Fairtrade dark chocolate 155g Fairtrade icing sugar 175g unsalted butter or margarine 100ml Fairtrade apple juice 11 Fairtrade strawberries 4 tsp Fairtrade cinnamon
|
Place a large bowl over a pan full of boiling water. Place white chocolate into bowl and let to melt. Do the same with the dark chocolate after.
Cut some baking paper into strips, and, using a pallet knife, spread chocolate over strips, creating a marbled effect. Place strips around cylinder-like objects (such as basic cookie cutters) and leave to set in a fridge for about an hour, or until hard.
When set, carefully move the chocolate off the baking paper and onto a plate. Leave in the fridge until ready for next manoeuvre.
Cream the butter and 150g of the icing sugar together until light and fluffy. Spoon or pipe the cream into the chocolate cylinders. Leave in the fridge for 20 minutes.
Blend 7 strawberries, apple juice and what is left of the icing sugar until smooth. Spoon out in spiral movements over each chocolate cylinder.
Slice, vertically, the 4 remaining strawberries very thinly. Place each strawberry onto cream in the chocolate cylinders.
For a finishing touch, sprinkle each teaspoon of cinnamon on each chocolate dessert. Leave in fridge until ready to eat. (Remember to cover with cling film!)
