Kurma With Lamb Meat
Lamb In Spicy Gravy
500 Grams of Lamb Meat
250 Grams of Refined oil
2 Cups of Curd (Indian Yogurt)
1 Cup of Onion paste
2 Onions- Chopped lengthwise
1/2 Cup Chopped Green Chillies
2 Spoons of Ginger-Garlic paste
2 Spoons of Red chilli powder
1 Spoon Turmeric powder
2 Spoons of Mustered seeds
3 Tomatoes- Finely chopped
2 spoons of Corn flour
3-4 Bay leaves
1 Cup of raw Coconut paste
Salt to Taste
1-2 spoons of All Spice powder

All Spice Powder: Take 100 grams of Cloves, 100 grams of Cardamoms, about 50 grams of Cinnamon sticks and slightly fry them. Grind them all together into a fine powder. Store in an air-tight bottle and use as and when required.

 

Wash the lamb meat and cut into pieces of desired size. Add turmeric powder, curd, 1 spoon ginger-garlic paste, 1 spoon salt and 2 spoons oil. Mix well and marinate for thirty minutes.

Take a deep bottomed pan, pour oil and heat. Add the onion paste, coconut paste, one spoon ginger-garlic paste, bay leaves and mustered seeds and saute well. Now add the marinated mutton, red chilli powder, chopped green chillies and the onions. Fry all of them until oil shows up.

Add 3 cups of water, corn flour mixed in half cup of water and sufficient salt. Also add one spoon full of all spice powder. Place the lid on the pan and simmer the contents on low flame until the meat is well cooked.

Serve with Hot Rice and or Pancakes.
